He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised,
and they never are. As one colleague observed, “There are few people in public
life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles. Ron
Paul is one of those few.”

Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will
reap if we do not grow weary. Galatians 6:9 NASB
As Christians, we surely do not agree on every issue. Within our own families, we often disagree on
biblical interpretation and on politics.
But when the leading candidates for our country’s highest office, from
both sides of the political fence, are so dramatically
incompatible with our beliefs as Christians that we seriously could not
envision pulling the lever for any of them, it’s time to find an
alternative. We found Ron Paul and encourage
you to consider him as well.
·
He
has consistently championed the principles of our Constitution, including personal
liberties and states’ rights.
·
He
has consistently defended the unborn. As
a practicing Ob/Gyn, he never performed an abortion,
or found one necessary to save the life of the mother. (Psalm 139:13-16)
·
He opposes gay marriage and would defend a state's right not to recognize civil unions granted by another state. (Genesis 2:20-24)
·
He
stands up for the rights of parents to control their children’s education, by
opposing national testing for home-schooled children and proposing tax credits
for parents who home-school. (Proverbs 22:6)
·
He
would do what so many politicians have promised: save Social Security. He has been clear about how he would do it, by
cutting back on big government, by ending the welfare state, by stopping Social
Security funds from going to illegal immigrants, and by giving the next
generation the opportunity to save and invest toward their retirement. (1
Timothy 5:3; 2 Thessalonians 3:10)
·
He
would do what George W. Bush promised when he was running for President: he
would end our current over-commitment of troops to policing other countries. Our battle as Americans – just as our battle
as Christians – will not be won through military might but through being a
light in a dark world. (Ephesians 6:12)
·
He
does not support a foreign policy based on fear, but one based on what is
right. “As far as it lies within your
power, be at peace with all men.” (Romans 12:18)
